Data referring to the 2017 cinema production budget are based on the report “Tutti i numeri del cinema italiano – Anno 2017” produced by the Direzione Generale Cinema del MiBAC. These data refer to «admissible films» alone, meaning to feature films that actually presented a DIL (Denuncia Inizio Lavorazione), a production start date. Data referring to TV and OTT products are the result of e-Media estimates prepared on the basis of direct consultations with the players. Data referring to the tax credit for the production of TV fiction are processed on the basis of values reported in the report “Tutti i numeri del cinema italiano – Anno 2017” produced by the Direzione Generale Cinema del MiBAC. More specifically, data referring to the production budget of TV fiction are assessed on titles actually delivered in 2017 while data relating to tax credits refer to audiovisual works eligible for 2017 benefits.
