The comparison of the two graphs shows the effect of Il paradiso delle signore 3 on the programming of domestic fiction.

In absolute values, the primetime offer (345 hours) is slightly down (-39 hours) compared to the last season, while TV fiction scheduled outside primetime (131 hours) is growing sharply (+ 95 hours).

The data is related to linear TV fiction; streaming offers are excluded.

The interseasonal decrease in Rai’s offer in both time slots is linked to the early stop of the two daily serials due to Covid: Il Paradiso delle Signore (broadcast in daytime) and Un posto al sole (broadcast in primetime).

Compared to the previous season, there has been no change in strategy, besides the cancelation of Disney’s primetime offer.

Compared to the past season, the number of original Italian fiction evenings have increased both on Rai and on specialty channels beyond Rai and Mediaset (Others).

For the first time in the last five seasons, original Italian primetime evenings are on the whole increasing.
