Trends in the audiovisual production sector

A new production phase for italian original titles

  • Starting from this year (2024) the original Italian audiovisual production sector enters a new phase.
  • Growth in demand and Tax Credit (the two elements that have contributed to the significant increase in volume over the last few years) will not be able to withstand the sector. In view of the market consolidation, projects are to be carefully selected with a focus on quality and their circulation beyond domestic borders.

  • Certainty of volume, timing, rules, etc.
  • Speed and coordination of the assignments/payouts according to actual production timing/distribution
  • Simplicity of the criteria and access methods
  • Efficiency quantitative and qualitative on the production and distribution systems

Greater competitive strength on foreign markets

The cost increase recorded since 2020, and the GROWING shortage of technicians and workers is a real emergency for the sector

  1. The number of high-budget productions is increasing due to the growth in demand and investments by VoD operators
  2. Tax Credit to international productions rewards executive production, creates more employment but also generates an inflation effect in the sector
  3. The sector urgently requires a greater number of highly skilled technicians and workers
