Fox Networks Group Italy is about to produce a new TV series based on Ferzan Ozpetek’s feature film “The Ignorant Fairies” (“Le fate ignoranti”). The movie was in theaters 18 years ago and achieved remarkable audience success.
After “Extravergine”, a comedy series to be broadcasted next autumn on FoxLife, and Romolo+Giuly at its second season, Fox carries on its strategical vision in producing original TV shows.
The news was announced by Alessandro Saba, Vice President Entertainment of Fox Networks Group Italy who explained why: “Ferzan Ozpetec’s 2001 feature film conquered the audience by narrating the most contemporary relational universe in the most original way. We are working with Ozpetek on a TV series that should take off from that world and plunge into today’s.”
