{"id":6744,"date":"2022-11-03T15:27:50","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T14:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ricerche.apaonline.it\/?post_type=ricerca&#038;p=6744"},"modified":"2022-11-11T12:16:05","modified_gmt":"2022-11-11T11:16:05","slug":"la-natimortalita-2020-2021-dal-registro-delle-imprese-eng","status":"publish","type":"ricerca","link":"https:\/\/ricerche.apaonline.it\/en\/research\/employment-in-the-audiovisual-sector-and-female-presence\/la-natimortalita-2020-2021-dal-registro-delle-imprese-eng\/","title":{"rendered":"Entry and exit rates at the Business Register 2020-2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The entry and exit balance at the Business Register during the first year of the pandemic showed a strong reduction in registrations and a persistent stagnation of business terminations .<br>Today it is possible to detail the entry and exit flow data over the two years 2020-2021, both for the real economy and, more specifically, for the audiovisual sector, which presents peculiar trends compared to the rest of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Focusing the analysis on business registrations after 2020, when the audiovisual industry recorded a contraction of new businesses (57 total), like the general economy, in 2021, the outcome was positive, bringing the sector\u2019s birth rate back to levels even higher than those recorded in 2019 (+35). Whereas in 2021, Veneto, Lazio, and Campania recorded extremely positive recoveries (+10, +16, and +12 new businesses), overcoming the 2019 negative counts, Piedmont and Tuscany are still below the pre-Covid birth rate, with an overall negative balance (-11 and -10 new companies), while the other regions stand at values similar to those of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p cancellations , meaning those pertaining to the \u2018cleansing\u2019 of the Chambers of Commerce archives.<br>As for the total number of companies, the year 2021 witnessed a reduction in effective terminations within the audiovisual core, which seems to confirm the \u201cfreezing\u201d hypothesis suggested for 2020, a phenomenon that most probably relies on the support measures in contrast to the closures that should have been due during the pandemic season, at least \u201cphysiologically.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If the real economy terminations concern nearly 134,000 businesses not yet verified in the Business Register but to be attested in the future (41.0% of a \u201cnormal\u201d year like 2019), 141 companies within the audiovisual sector are \u201cat risk\u201d of closing, meaning 34.5% of the 2019 figure, again taken as the pre-pandemic year of comparison.<br>By adopting a similar scheme to the one used for registrations, the 2021\/2019 variation can be broken down into a two-year contribution for terminations, both however negative.<br>The audiovisual core recorded a decrease in closures similar to the real economy (-23.7% vs. -24.6%), and in this case, the termination variation relating to theatrical production was more confined (-15,8% on average), while the drop affected exhibition businesses (-48.1% closures).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<div ex-officio terminations for the audiovisual core are not distributed evenly in the two-year period. Lombardy alone concentrates the bulk of the 2020-2021 terminations compared to 2019, which, as previously mentioned, could become a critical perspective for 51 companies in the future (adding up the 2020 and 2021 \u201cmissed closures\u201d). Piedmont (-19), Emilia Romagna (-17), and Sicily (-16) follow, always considering the two years. The data refers to the period between March 2020 and March 2021 (13 months).<br>[3] Registration in the Chamber of Commerce Business Register is a mandatory &#8220;one-off&#8221; administrative procedure defined at the start of a company. It consists of two phases: the first, where a digitally signed application is submitted electronically within 30 days from the start of the activity; the second, where the application is verified and proceeds to registration.<br>[4] Termination or cancellation from the Business Register is an administrative procedure following a liquidation procedure of a partnership or joint stock companies. Cancellation is a mandatory step explicitly imposed by law for joint stock companies, while partnership cancellations are rather controversial, both theoretically and legally.<br>[5] The adoption of an ex-officio termination data is particularly necessary for 2021, given the meticulous cleansing activity of the Rome Chamber of Commerce registers, resulting in 76.9% of the total terminations, a share that reached 91.6% for the audiovisual sector.
