Compared to the previous season, the overall offer of original Italian fiction is in clear growth (+ 75 hours) and has recorded the highest value of the last five seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The interseasonal increase in hourly volume is owed to Rai\u2019s offer (+ 76 hours) which, compared to last season (anomalous for the production closure due to Covid), programmed its daily soaps again (Un posto al sole <\/em>and Il paradiso delle signore<\/em>) for the entire season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Rai is once again absolute leader in the production of Italian fiction, offering alone more than \u00be of the season\u2019s hour volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the other producers of domestic fiction, the offer of established operators of linear TV (Sky and Mediaset) still have greater weight than the original Italian titles offered by platforms (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney +). <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The interseasonal increase in Rai’s offer of original Italian fiction is substantial (+ 22%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other networks and platforms there have been minimal variations. The most significant concerns Amazon (+ 12 hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox and Timvision have not produced fiction this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Compared to the last season, the offer of Italian fiction has increased, both on linear TV (+58 hours) and on platforms (+17 hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The offer of Italian original fiction on platforms (Rai Play, Now, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+), is still low but in the interseason its total hour volume has slightly grown, going from 9% (2019-2020) to 11% (2020-2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Rai is the only operator that supplies fiction across the entire distribution spectrum: generalist (Raiuno) and semi-generalist (Raidue, Raitre), specialty channels (Rai Gulp,) and its streaming platform Raiplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to the past season, the offer of Italian fiction has grown, mainly on Raiuno (+ 44 hours) and Rai Gulp (+ 21 hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

In the 2021 summer quarter (June-August), the supply of original Italian fiction was 38 hours (+ 18 hours compared to the same 2020 quarter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rai broadcast a higher number of episodes of Un posto al sole <\/em>compared to summer 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mediaset, Netflix and Sky aired an original series each.
