Finally, a residual share of 8.2% (nearly 500M euros) is owed to businesses that operate equally within both classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of employment, the figures remain practically unchanged, although companies that operate predominantly in television display a small slip (68.9%; 34,561employees) while those that produce cinema have grown at the same pace (22.6%; 11,326 employees.) The mixed area, featuring companies without a particular area of prevalence, continues to account for less than 10% (more precisely, 8.5%; 4,260 employees of a total of over 50,200.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dynamics taking place in the industry highlight aspects that deserve to be underlined. As a result of the technological changes, the organizational balance among companies that operate within different fields has progressively changed: those involved in the production activity (Ateco 5911 \u2013 Theatrical film, video &amp; TV production) are losing their strict cinema or television specialization. The result is an extremely favorable dynamic for the so-called &#8220;mixed&#8221; companies, which produce content both for the box office and for television channels. This explains how in a single year this type of company has increased by about a quarter in wealth and employment, in contrast to specialized companies in one or the other field, which instead have recorded negative performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Television companies, on the other hand, seem to focus on post-production and distribution activities, which are mainly linked to the phenomenon of TV series and the development of on-demand channels. Especially in regard to distribution, the data referring to the last twelve months indicate a +25% increase in added value and an almost +30% increase of employment within this particular category (Ateco 5913 &#8211; Theatrical film, video &amp; TV distribution).
