The growth is mainly due to the entry of global VOD operators into the market who have increased their investments in these genres significantly since 2018.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"grafico-block_6d617645373fcf97deb700fd9c16bea1\" class=\"grafico mb-5\">\n\n     <p class=\"titoletto pt-2 mb-3 bd\">The investment composition of TV and VoD fiction production in 2023 (series &#038; movies) <br \/>\n          <span class=\"small text-black-50\">(\u20acm at nominal values) <\/span>     <\/p>\n\n          <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ricerche.apaonline.it\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ApaRicerche_eMedia_Italian_Origin_24_ENG_11-1.png\" class=\"img-fluid\" \/>\n     \n     \n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2023, investments by \u2018Audiovisual Service Media\u2019 providers (free and pay TV broadcasters and non-linear operators) covered <strong>57%<\/strong> of the total production cost. National public aid (essentially Production Tax Credit) was worth <strong>30%<\/strong>. The remaining <strong>13%<\/strong> consisted of producers\u2019 and distributors\u2019 contributions and regional funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"grafico-block_dec6ad3f4081c89c9d395fa32ed5f94a\" class=\"grafico mb-5\">\n\n     <p class=\"titoletto pt-2 mb-3 bd\">Investment evolution estimate of linear and non-linear operators in their TV and VoD fiction offer <br \/>\n          <span class=\"small text-black-50\">(\u20acm at nominal values)<\/span>     <\/p>\n\n          <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ricerche.apaonline.it\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ApaRicerche_eMedia_Italian_Origin_24_ENG_12-1.png\" class=\"img-fluid\" \/>\n     \n     \n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compared to 2019 and 2020 forecasts, investments made by non-linear operators (essentially SVoDs) have not reached (and eventually exceeded, as expected) those of linear operators who today are still the leading investors in fictional movies and series.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Based on current assessments, forecasts for the next few years indicate stagnation in the investments that will overall stay put at today\u2019s figures, which are approximately <strong>\u20ac350m &#8211;
